Every venue, from village halls to historic houses, has its own atmosphere, and I aim to capture it with honesty, warmth, and a gentle documentary style.
My approach is simple: blend in like a guest, notice the real moments, and photograph the day exactly as it felt. If you connect with the stories in these galleries, I’d love to help tell yours.

Engagement Photography in Leeds — Natural, Relaxed & Personal
Couple portraits before the wedding, often at places like Kirkstall Abbey, are a relaxed way to ease any nerves about being photographed. Many couples find it takes away that initial apprehension and helps everything feel more natural on the wedding day.
I want these sessions to feel easy, enjoyable, and genuinely reflective of you as a couple — a calm, fun part of the journey, and something that feels emotionally real rather than staged. I really care about each couple I work with, and that always shapes how I approach these moments.
Documenting Children at Weddings
I’ve had couples book me after seeing how naturally I photograph children at weddings — often those little moments that end up quietly stealing the show.
I remember a recent wedding where a young girl filled a small plate from the buffet, then, with a little confidence and excitement, chose someone in the room to present it to. It turned into this beautiful spontaneous moment that brought everyone together.
It’s those kinds of unscripted moments that stay with people — simple, honest, and full of life.
Unobtrusive Wedding Photography Leeds and Yorkshire
I usually start with the morning preparations — that first bit of the day where everything is just gently coming to life.
I’ll drift between rooms as things unfold — a bit of laughter here, someone getting ready there, people arriving and catching up. It’s always moving, always full of small moments happening at once.
There’s a really lovely energy to it all — nothing staged, nothing directed — just the day beginning to build in its own way.

Details & Colour
Little Details & Beautiful Wedding Colours
You choose the little details and beautiful colours for your wedding day, and you can rely on me to capture them naturally as they are — without staging, manipulation, or overworking the moment.
With a background in film photography, I’ve always believed in getting things right in the moment. That approach has shaped the way I see things — noticing light, colour, and the small details as they naturally appear throughout the day.
Over time, that way of working has become something I really value — a simple, honest approach that lets the day speak for itself and keeps everything feeling true to how it really was.
Natural & Authentic Couple Portraiture
For me, weddings are about people, then places. You can see in this gallery couples who look natural — gently guided at times, and unposed at others — with real smiles and no awkwardness, just a reflection of their love captured with a calm and sensitive approach.
I’ll also ask about your chosen venue — aspects you love — and use that, along with what I notice on the day, to shape a selection of images you’ll love.
The wedding breakfast is always a great part of the day to photograph. There’s a lovely mix of energy and relaxation — speeches, laughter, and all the little moments in between.
I’m there quietly, capturing reactions as they happen, then stepping back so you can enjoy the main with your guests.
Afterwards, I stay with you as the room settles — people relaxing, conversations flowing more freely, and the atmosphere becoming even more natural as the day moves on.
The evening reception always feels like a shift in energy — more guests arriving, music building, and the celebrations really getting going.
I stay with you through it all, photographing things as they happen — using the available light and just responding to the atmosphere around me. No interruption, just real moments unfolding naturally.
Later in the evening, I often catch those quieter moments too — friends saying their goodbyes, and sometimes a final few frames of the two of you before the night ends.
Black & White Wedding Photography — Timeless Emotion
Black and white photography removes distraction and focuses on expression and connection.
It creates timeless storytelling shaped by light, emotion, and simplicity.
Documentary Wedding Photography
Documentary photography is about honesty — capturing the day exactly as it unfolds.
No staging, no interruption, just real moments as they happen.
Candid Wedding Photography — Honest Moments
Candid photography captures real reactions, laughter, and fleeting emotional moments.
It’s about people being themselves, without direction or interruption.
These are the moments that tell the real story of a wedding day.
Relaxed wedding photography, for me, is about giving the day space to unfold without pressure — no forcing moments, just letting things happen as they naturally do.
It’s about the feel of the day — the atmosphere, the easy moments between people, and the sense that everyone can just be themselves without thinking about the camera.
I stay close to the flow of the day, quietly documenting things as they happen so the story feels calm, honest, and true to how it was experienced.
