Tim Christian Jones — Leeds Wedding Photographer

As a wedding photographer based in Leeds, I focus on candid, documentary and natural moments — the atmosphere between people, the quiet reactions, and the light as it falls. Weddings across Leeds and Yorkshire, photographed without interruption.

The first Gallery link below — is an introducton, followed by numerous wedding galleries — giving a pure insight into how I love what I do.

  • Leeds Wedding Photographer

    Tim Christian Jones

I am a Leeds wedding photographer in the heart of Yorkshire — a friendly, natural approach that blends candid moments with timeless portraits you’ll cherish.

Some photographs impress quickly. Others stay with you. I’m interested in the second kind — images that feel honest when you come back to them, because nothing important was smoothed away or made louder than it was. That way of seeing began for me with film, and it’s stayed with me ever since.

  • Tanya & Paul — Wood Hall Hotel & Spa Wedding Photography, Wetherby

Tanya and Paul were married at Kirk Deighton Church in Wetherby. Sunshine arrived at just the right moments. First for Tanya’s entrance at the church. Then again as a vintage white Rolls waited outside Wood Hall Hotel & Spa.

Later, soft cloud cover rolled in. Perfect for relaxed couple portraits. Gentle light. Calm skies. A contrast that gave the day its character.

  • Little Ones ‘Stealing the Show’ at Weddings

Weddings are full of heart — and the littlest guests often bring the biggest smiles.

From cute little pageboys to shy flower girls twirling, these moments happen when kids feel welcome and seen. I always try to blend in gently, so they welcome the camera — and that’s when the magic happens. Being invited into these moments is great. It’s not just about capturing children being cute — it’s about photographing the spirit of your day through everyone that matters — big and small.

Here’s a gallery full of joy, mischief, and those unscripted memories you’ll treasure forever.

  • Claire & Tom’s Halifax Minster Wedding — April Ceremony & Theatre Celebration

Claire & Tom’s wedding day was filled with character, creativity, and the fresh calm of early spring. Their ceremony took place beneath the soaring gothic arches of Halifax Minster — a stunning, historic venue alive with light, music, and laughter.

Afterwards, we explored some of their favourite local spots: the Northern Broadsides Theatre Company, where Claire works; a special visit to Eureka! The National Children’s Museum; and finally a relaxed evening reception in the conservatory at Charlie Fastrax.

  • Kirsty & Sam’s Garden Party Wedding — Relaxed Outdoor Ceremony & Marquee Fun

There was something beautifully unrushed about Kirsty & Sam’s day — like summer itself had stretched out just for them. They were married under the trees, surrounded by colour and warmth, with guests sat on hay bales and sunlight pouring through the branches.

The whole garden came to life with personality — bright bouquets, satin and lace dresses, lightsaber duels on the grass, and the unmistakable buzz of a wedding that feels completely true to the couple at the centre of it all.

Even though this wedding took me a little further afield, I absolutely loved travelling from Leeds to capture it. From their laid-back vows to the marquee speeches, garden games, and the cheese-and-fruit tower, it was a joy to photograph a day this full of heart.

  • Kat & Jamie’s Trafalgar Tavern Wedding — Autumn Sunshine in Greenwich

Kat & Jamie’s autumn wedding day was bathed in soft October sunshine and set against the timeless charm of the Trafalgar Tavern in Greenwich. With the River Thames glittering nearby and the grand architecture of Greenwich University just steps away, the scene was full of atmosphere and personality.

Their celebration flowed easily — laughter echoing through the historic rooms, the light shifting beautifully throughout the day. We wandered along the river, the sun low and golden, capturing portraits that felt natural and full of connection. Every image reflected their calm, joyful energy and the simple magic of a day well lived.

  • Lowri & Tim’s Wedding — Temple of Apollo Ceremony & Memorial Hall Reception

Lowri & Tim’s wedding day unfolded beneath the warm July sun, beginning under the timeless columns of the Temple of Apollo in Stourton. With its ancient stone path and quiet grace, the ceremony felt like a moment outside of time — followed by shared glances, music, and laughter just nearby at Memorial Hall.

Photographed in 2010, this day remains a cherished early chapter in my journey. Calm, unposed, and full of natural light — just the way I love to capture weddings across West Yorkshire and beyond.

  • Leeds Wedding Photographer — Foulridge & Barley Village Hall

Susie and Dan’s late May wedding had everything — a beautiful church ceremony at St Michael and All Angels in Foulridge, a countryside backdrop for portraits, and a lively reception at Barley Village Hall.

The rain didn’t stop a thing. These two stuck to their plans, braving the Lancashire fields with big smiles and plenty of laughter. By the evening, the hall was filled with music and ceilidh dancing — the kind of night where no one wants to leave the dance floor.

As a Leeds wedding photographer, I love days like this — full of energy, personality, and those moments you’ll never forget.

  • Merchant Adventurers’ Hall Wedding Photography, York — Chris & David

Merchant Adventurers’ Hall is one of York’s most characterful wedding venues — a medieval space rich with timber, texture, and atmosphere. On an August day softened by periods of rain, it provided a warm, grounded setting for Chris and David’s wedding, as guests gathered beneath its beams while the city moved quietly outside.

My connection to the day stretched back several years. In 2017, I photographed Sampurna and Joe’s wedding at the same Hall — an Asian–English fusion celebration full of colour, family, and shared history.

  • Scarborough Spa Wedding Photographer — Lisa & Oliver, North Yorkshire

Lisa and Oliver’s May wedding at Scarborough Spa was full of fresh sea air, playful weather, and the kind of joy that doesn’t mind a little rain. From gravity-powered Cliff Lift trams down to the promenade, to blue-striped deckchairs fluttering in the wind, their day felt unmistakably seaside — relaxed, personal, and full of laughter.

This was an any-weather wedding done right. Honest moments. Family chaos. Fish and chips after the speeches. Cupcakes inspired by classic 99 flakes. Pebbles signed, shells gathered, flip-flops appearing when they were needed most. A celebration that never rushed anything, even as the wind rolled in from the sea.

  • Engagement Photography at Kirkstall Abbey, Leeds — Tim Christian Jones

Before the wedding day arrives, there’s this — a quiet chance to celebrate your story together. Kirkstall Abbey in Leeds, with its ancient stone arches, open green spaces and soft evening light, is one of my favourite places for engagement photos. It feels peaceful and full of history — the perfect mix of romantic and relaxed.
We’ll take an easy walk through the ruins and riverside paths, talking, laughing, and letting moments unfold naturally. Every couple brings something beautifully unique, and that’s what I love capturing most — the quiet connection, the laughter, and the spark that brought you here.
