Morning Preparations & Arrivals

I arrived just in time to catch the final moments of preparation at Chevin Country Park Hotel. The bridesmaids wore soft pink dresses, framed by the shaded lodge and the quiet woodland beyond. Kyra and her father shared a calm, heartfelt smile beside the white Rolls Royce, parked in dappled August light outside the lodge.

Later, at St Oswald’s Church in Guiseley, the stone walls glowed warmly as guests began to arrive. Matt and his groomsmen gathered at the entrance, laughing together in the sunshine, while the bridesmaids followed soon after — relaxed, joyful, and ready for what was to come.

Inside, gentle light filtered across the pews. Family and friends settled into a quiet stillness, sharing soft conversation and smiles before the ceremony began.

Ceremony at St Oswald’s Church, Guiseley

Kyra arrived with her father and bridesmaids, all beaming in the late summer light. The white Rolls Royce and the stone façade of St Oswald’s made a beautiful backdrop as they stepped forward together.

As the ceremony began, the atmosphere softened. A proud smile from Matt, a quiet exchange of glances, and the easy rhythm of vows unfolding naturally. Light streamed through the stained glass as rings were exchanged and family reactions flickered gently across the pews.

After a joyful hymn, the couple stepped back out into the sunshine, sharing a kiss on the church steps before greeting friends and family with warmth and ease.

Confetti, Family & Celebration Outside the Church

The churchyard became a place of laughter and movement. Confetti filled the air as Kyra and Matt walked the path together, followed closely by their two dogs — instantly stealing hearts.

We gathered everyone beneath the trees for a full group photograph, then took relaxed family portraits in the shade. A bouquet toss brought another burst of energy, with Kyra sending hers skyward and Matt raising laughs by tossing a smaller one to the gents, who scattered in mock panic.

Nothing felt rushed. Everything unfolded as it should.

Before travelling on, Kyra and Matt stayed behind for a few quiet portraits in the church grounds. These moments were completely unposed — just the two of them pausing, breathing, and letting the day catch up.

Nearby, guests gathered naturally for a full group photograph, waving and smiling as they came together. One of my favourite moments followed soon after — friends leaning over the balcony, waving down below, their reflections mirrored perfectly in the lake. A fleeting, joyful scene that captured the atmosphere beautifully.

As the wedding breakfast began, the room filled with easy conversation and warmth. Glasses clinked, food was shared, and the sound level rose gently as everyone settled in.

The speeches brought laughter and quieter reactions in equal measure — smiles exchanged across tables, heads bowed in moments of reflection, and the kind of honest responses that unfold best when nothing feels staged. Everything moved at its own pace, exactly as the day had from the start.
