The Quiet Chaos Before ‘I Do’
Every wedding morning has its own rhythm. Sometimes it’s wonderfully quiet with just a handful of people sharing coffee and conversation. Other times the room is full of excitement, music, laughter, and a dozen conversations happening all at once.
This is one of my favourite parts of the day because it’s where every wedding story begins. Among the excitement are small moments that might otherwise disappear—a parent quietly watching, a nervous smile, a burst of laughter, or a final deep breath before everything changes. These are the moments I love to preserve.
I rarely interrupt what’s unfolding. If time allows, I might suggest standing by a beautiful window or ask for a simple portrait, but my role is never to take over. Instead, I blend into the room, letting moments unfold naturally while creating photographs that feel honest, relaxed, and unmistakably like you.
Whether I’m documenting an intimate wedding in Leeds with just a few guests or a busy house filled with bridesmaids, groomsmen and family, my aim is always the same—to slow the day down, freeze those fleeting moments, and create photographs you’ll recognise as your own for years to come.
