Wedding singer in black and white by Leeds, West Yorkshire wedding photographer

My name is Tim Christian Jones and this is some of my Black and White Leeds wedding photography.

Black and White Leeds, West Yorkshire wedding photographer

When you photograph someone in colour, you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph someone in Black and White, you photograph their souls…

A beautiful quote, right? I do of course love good colour photography. Aside, in the days of film only cameras, you’d choose the type of film depending on the subject or situation. Some films like Fuji Velvia for example produced bold colours. Black and white film was typically used for low light situations. The noise in the images was always considered character. These days noise is viewed as something bad, but I believe opposite. Less noise tends to mean less detail, and that is 100% true.

This is real and natural wedding photography Leeds, West Yorkshire in Black and White. No strange edits whatsoever, real pure photography.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why don’t you edit your photos?

Not to criticise, but I personally dislike the current trends of low contrast black and white wedding photos you see so often. A few years ago the trend was for very high contrast, the complete opposite. Though, all through these trends, I have remained pure in my presentation of Black and White photos. Timeless and never looking dated.

I’d love to book, may I ask what deposit you require?

Just £100 secures the date for you, of course you have 14 days should you change your mind. The balance is requested 1 month before your wedding day.

Table decorations and flowers

Can’t blame me for ending with a little colour!
