Alison and Liam’s Wedding at Bolton Priory and The Devonshire Arms Hotel
September at Bolton Abbey and The Devonshire Arms hotel – the well chosen venues for the wedding of Alison & Liam. Preparation photos at the Devonshire Arms for the bride et.al. In the Moment photography mixed with a few nice posed photos tell the story well. The groom with his two sons downstairs in the beautiful interior of the Devonshire. Available light photography captured the ambience and colours perfectly. The groom’s autistic son reluctant in some cases, but a little injected fun brought many smiles I was able to capture throughout the wedding day.
I shot the wedding with an Hasselblad medium format camera and the colours are so accurate. The red roses on the bouquet placed on the window sill are perfectly accurate. Reds being a great challenge of most cameras. The bride and her son arrived at the Bolton Priory to glorious sunshine which made for some lovely photos. I captures the elegance of the venue in the photo with respect to the occasion of course. A few group photos and couple photos outside in the sunshine after the couple greet everyone exiting the Priory. Sunshine followed the couple to the Devonshire Arms where a few more group photos were done by the trees and green across the road.
The wedding breakfast and speeches took place in the stylishly grey room. Following guests gathered outside for drinks and I was able to capture some great low light photography. Back inside for the cake cutting and first dance. Another beautiful wedding I was privileged to captured.
